I love this rice cooker, I use it for brown rice mostly but my son and my daughter will have white rice some times. This new rice cooker has easy instructions, there is one time I'm on vacation , I told my son how to use this rice cooker in general and he did an excellent job. He told me one day he made sushi, he followed instruction that I told him, the rice came out perfectly. Zojirushi NS-ZCC10 5-1/2-Cup (Uncooked) Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker and Warmer, Premium White, 1.0-Liter

We hestitated for a while because of the price. But once we took the plunge and tried it out, we couldn't be happier. In the past, we've had both the cheap, one-button type and the microchip type, and if you have rice 2-3 times a week, you definitely want to go with the better model. (We pitched the cheap model immediately; the rice turned out part crusty, part mushy, part burnt.) The Zojirushi is an improvement on our previous microchip model because 1. it's easier to clean, with the lid-liner not accumulating scum and the inner pot having a rounded bottom, which is easier wipe clean 2. it has no "moisture catcher" to clean out 3. the inside pot has cool handles to lift out 4. there is a place to put the rice paddle (important!) 5. the rice paddle has nubs on it, with prevents rice from sticking to it. And, of course, it cooks brown rice very well! We're waiting to try the porridge setting - yum. We're completely happy with our purchase and wondered why we hesitated. Zojirushi NS-LAC05XA Micom 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer

This is a great rice cooker. I'm Japanese and make rice probably 6 out of 7 days a week. This cooker makes perfect rice every time. I wash my rice in the morning and set the timer in the morning before I goto work and when I get home I have perfect gohan waiting for me. Instant Pot IP-LUX60 6-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker, 6-Quart 1000-Watt

I was looking for an appliance to replace my slow cooker and ideally wanted a stainless steel insert. That is not easy to find but I did find the instant pot. Pressure cooking was foreign to me but as I began to read more I realized this sounded even better than slow cooking! I received the pot in a timely manner and it is a nice looking piece. My first meal was chicken breasts- frozen!!! That's right, I put frozen chicken breasts in with onions and a can of rotel and seasonings. In 25 mins they were tender, moist and able to be shredded with a fork! The chicken was delicious for chicken tacos. I look forward to experimenting more and I did use the browning option which worked well for another meal. You can use this with the lid off. The stainless pot is quite solid and cleans up well. Zojirushi NS-LAC05XT Micom 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer, Black and Stainless Steel

I have the same usual story of woe; used a cheap, awful rice maker with a glass lid for years, had to deal with an awful mess anytime I just wanted a side of rice. I finally gave in and ordered this 3-cup rice cooker after doing a lot of research. It's as great as everyone says! It was just delivered this afternoon, and I've already pulled it out and cooked up some rice. It was so simple, I didn't even bother reading the instructions. The truly fantastic thing about it was, I was able to go run an errand that suddenly came up without worrying about leaving it sitting. When I got home, a *perfectly* cooked serving of rice was waiting for me. It is quite expensive, and I debated buying it because I'm moving to Japan next year. But I have absolutely no problem with spending the measely $20 to send it on over to myself. Admittedly, I am only one person, and never cook for more than 4, but I can't see this rice cooker failing to deliver for a small family of average eaters. I only made one cup (smaller than the '1 cup' we use in cooking), and it made a full bowl of rice. This is the first time I've ever bothered writing a review for anything--but I simply had to, because I am SO impressed.
